We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse to join our dedicated Orthopaedic unit in New Jersey. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive pre-operative, post-operative, and ongoing care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care across the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of orthopaedic care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform wound care according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and recovery process.
- Assist with patient ambulation, transfers, and other activities of daily living as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest orthopaedic nursing practices and advancements.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Orthopaedics.
- Strong understanding of orthopaedic conditions, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under pressure, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
