We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our established oncology team in London. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional care to patients at all stages of their cancer journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to patients receiving various oncology treatments, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer a variety of medications, including intravenous chemotherapy, following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, manage symptoms effectively, and identify potential complications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with nursing standards.
  • Participate in unit-based education and training to stay current on best practices in oncology nursing.

Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an oncology setting (or demonstrably relevant experience).
  • Excellent understanding of cancer treatment protocols and procedures, including chemotherapy and supportive therapies.
  • Strong clinical skills, including aseptic technique, venepuncture, cannulation, and administration of medications.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a commitment to holistic patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
