We are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Dubai. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our company, contributing to the success of a leading player in the oil & gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior accountants with daily accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate collections.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and UAE accounting regulations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues within the finance department and other departments as needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role (or internship experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of the oil & gas industry (a plus).
- Arabic language proficiency (a plus).
