We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Counselor to join our team in Ernakulam. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting students as they make important decisions about their education and future.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions with students to address academic concerns, personal challenges, and career aspirations.
- Help students develop strong study skills, time management strategies, and goal-setting techniques.
- Assist students with exploring academic options, including college and program selection.
- Provide guidance on scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
- Stay up-to-date on educational trends and resources to provide students with the best possible guidance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field (preferred)
- State School Counselor Certification (required)
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with students from diverse backgrounds
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to student success and development
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
